EcoFood Corps

What is the EcoFood Corps?
Students, customers, employees, managers and directors are major stakeholders in the decision-making process for campus dining. As a part of the EcoFood Corps, a program of Healthy Planet, Healthy Me!, participants will be active in shaping the food system around them.

Participants in the EcoFood Corps will be able to take part in educational field trips, meet local farmers and growers, provide feedback and input on how to better meet customers' desires and get a behind-the-scenes look at what is going on in their dining rooms.

STUDENT SUSTAINABILITY COORDINATOR & INTERN PROGRAM

Dining Services sustainability-related programs involving student sustainability coordinators and interns include: Meatless Mondays, UC Davis Farmers Market, UC Davis Student Farm field-to-table, UC Davis Russell Ranch field-to-table, Segundo housing area resident garden, Healthy Planet, Healthy Me education, waste audits, campus food systems tracking and assessment, Farm-to-College events, resident hall floor programs, and more! Student Sustainability Interns
Want to make a difference on your campus? Get involved in one of the EcoFood Corps teams as a Student Sustainability Intern! Transcript notation and a food stipend is provided for students interning with UC Davis Dining Services. Learn more about the internship programs available!

Student Sustainability Coordinators
Student sustainability coordinators work within the UC Davis Dining Services Department of Sustainability and Nutrition to lead the various EcoFood Corps teams.

Our Student Sustainability Coordinator positions include:

  • Resident Dining Education Coordinator
  • Retail Dining Education Coordinator
  • Waste Reduction Coordinators

Student Sustainability Coordinators report to UC Davis Dining Services Sustainability Manager, Dani Lee and the Sustainability & Education Coordinator.
